Irish Agritech company Herdwatch, the leading livestock management software platform in Ireland and the UK, has today marked a major milestone in its expansion journey by officially opening of its new state-of-the-art global headquarters.

Herdwatch, now used on over 20,000 farms and ranches around the world, has opened its new head office, as the company continues to grow and expand globally, with teams across Ireland, the UK, Canada, Ukraine and the UK.

The modern new HQ is in the heart of Roscrea, Co Tipperary, where the company was founded in 2012 by Fabien Peyaud and the FRS Co-op. The 4,000 sq. ft space is located within the new multi-million Roscrea Enterprise and Community Hub (REACH) , and is focused on innovation featuring open, collaborative spaces designed to support software development and customer success.

The opening of the new state-of-the-art facilities also represents the company’s commitment to the area and the local community and will support the company’s continued growth and expansion plans. Herdwatch now employs almost 100 people with almost half of these roles based in Roscrea, and recently expanded with a second office close to Harper Adams University in Shropshire, the UK's leading agricultural university.

Today, its award-winning app is trusted by thousands of beef, dairy and sheep farmers across Ireland, the UK and beyond, helping them manage everything from births and sales to medicine records and compliance, from their phone or computer. Herdwatch has been digitalising farms and ranches, enabling smarter, more efficient operations by simplifying record-keeping, compliance, and productivity, empowering farmers to track livestock, manage breeding, and optimise herd health.

By connecting farmers, vets, and supply chain stakeholders, Herdwatch fosters collaboration for a more sustainable livestock production sector. Whether dairy, beef, or sheep farming, Herdwatch bridges enterprises and farmers to deliver unparalleled value globally.

The new office was officially opened today by Peter Burke TD, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, who praised Herdwatch’s impressive growth and its commitment to digital innovation within the agricultural sector.

Minister Burke said: Herdwatch is a global industry leader, having an impact on farms around the world.  The Herdwatch innovation is critical to the future of the agriculture sector, as it can help reduce costs on farm enterprises, create efficiencies, support decision making, all the while improving outcomes in a sustainable manner. Herdwatch is also a key local employer that is committed to Roscrea community, and I would like to congratulate Fabien and all the Herdwatch team on their growth and success and wish them luck in this exciting new phase of their journey”.

Fabien Peyaud, Herdwatch CEO and co-founder, said: "This marks an exciting new chapter for Herdwatch.  We’re incredibly proud of our roots here in Roscrea. What began as a local innovation has grown into a global platform, and we are thrilled to continue our journey from our new home in the heart of the community that first believed in us."

Commenting on Herdwatch’s success, Kevin Sherry, CEO of Enterprise Ireland, said: “Enterprise Ireland is committed to supporting Irish-owned businesses to start, compete, scale and connect, and this includes pioneering Irish agritech businesses that are having an impact around the world. Herdwatch is doing just that with their cutting-edge innovation, enabling farmers and livestock managers to deliver smarter and more efficient operations. Enterprise Ireland is proud to support Herdwatch, and wish Fabien and all the team continued success.”

Guests at the opening this morning included local and national representatives, as well as business and farming leaders, Herdwatch customers, and members of the FRS Co-op. The event concluded with a buffet and drinks reception, celebrating the company's achievements and looking ahead to an ambitious future.

With farmers at its core and technology in its DNA, Herdwatch remains committed to revolutionising farm management while staying true to its rural roots. As the company enters its next phase of growth, one message is clear: the best is yet to come, and it all started in Roscrea.
