The Local Enterprise Offices are your local first-stop shop for seeking information and support on starting or growing a business in Ireland.

Enterprise Ireland supports High Potential StartUps (HPSUs). These businesses are internationally focused, have developed a minimal viable product (MVP) and have demonstrated some commercial traction.

A HPSU is therefore defined as a startup venture that is:

Introducing a new product or service to international markets that is truly innovative and disruptive, with some form of protectable IP.

Involved in manufacturing or internationally traded services in the following Sectors.

Capable of creating 10 jobs in Ireland and realising €1 million in annual sales within three years of starting.

Led by an experienced management team who are residing in Ireland.

Headquartered and controlled in Ireland.

Less than five years old from the date of your company’s registration. 

The Enterprise Ireland Founders Listening Tour aims to gather valuable insights from startup founders nationwide. This direct feedback will be instrumental in shaping our strategy for the next five years. The initiative involves panel discussions and roundtable consultations focused on understanding the challenges faced by startups, assessing the effectiveness of current supports, and collectively building a more robust startup ecosystem.
